Reason For Nomination: Shaya is an outstanding student/athlete she is presently caring a 4.0 GPA while participating in in basketball, student council, FBLA, National Honor Society President,A+ program and taking college classes and has been on the honor-roll all 4 years. She has broken some long standing scoring records as well as hitting the 1000 career point mark. Shaya is an outstanding young lady who continually displays respect and genuine care for others she also demonstrates strong leadership skills and has remained grounded through out her success. Shaya last week scored her 1000th point of her HS BB career. She is averaging over 27 points per game this year. With a game to play Friday, she has already set the record for Fatima Tournament Single Game Scoring (41), Free Throws Made in Single Game (19), tied Tournament Free Throws (28) and has a chance to set the Tournament Scoring record tonight vs St Elizabeth. She scored 41 of her teams' 55 points vs JC's JV on Wednesday.

    • Shaya is an outstanding athlete and student. she dont give up on anything she asked you to do. she dont just play her position she helps everyone out. whatever you need her to do she is not going to say no she is going to give 110% and make sure she gets it crrect.     • Shaya is such an inspiration young adult. I've watched this young female from a young age to her late days of high school. Her performance on and off the court and/or field is absolutely unspeakable. She is an absolutely wonderful student, she has great leadership skills that will let her go extremely far in her future after high school.     • Hi ! There are alot of people that come into our lives and leave there mark. Shaya has always finished at the top at what ever it is she was involved in. This past year she helped take her team to the final four at state in softball she has made all conference all district and all state and was named MVP at the regional tournament.Then she went on to basketball this year and led her team and most of the state in points per game averaging 26 points per game and set many records that havent been broke since 1997 at fatimas blue and gold tournament and done this with only a total of five players on the team the hole tournament no relief players at all.Shaya is one of the most wonderful students and a leaders in her school and the community.She has also been invited to play on the Missouri all star team May 28 we send our best wishes with her and all the players involved.Good luck Shaya in all of your many accomplishments to come in college and life.Your friend always ***
