Reason For Nomination: Ryan has started varsity in every sport since his freshman year. He has been a great athlete and also a great young man. Ryan has suffered two major season ending injuries in his career and bounced back each time. He injured his ankle in May of his sophomore year ending his baseball season. He suffered tendon damage and required surgery. He also tore his ACL in September of his junior year ending his football season. He also missed his entire basketball season his junior year due to the ACL surgery but attended every practice and sat with the team at every game. He was able to return for baseball season but was not able to play his normal position of catcher. He is now back to full speed and has helped lead us to a 5-0 start in football this fall. His stats through 5 games this fall include 6 touchdowns, 388 yards receiving,and 4 interceptions (3 of which were returened for touchdowns). He is also the only person to have two career 100 yard interceptions returned for touchdowns in MSHSAA history according to the MSHSAA Record Book.

Plans After High School: Ryan plans to play baseball in college and major in Health Science. He also has aspirations of getting drafted in baseball.
